SHIFTING TODAY TO A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW

What's New

Did you know…?

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) ranked #5 in the world for CSR in the 2012 Financial Times Global MBA Ranking! The ranking was based on a survey of alumni from the world’s top MBA programs, with 9,466 alumni from the class of 2008 participating in the rankings for 2012. Along with questions that determined the overall 2012 ranking, students were also asked to rate their schools on the quality of teaching for a group of subjects. The reaction from the students and staff of CUHK has been with encouragement and support. Michael Ferguson, the Associate Dean of the MBA Programmes at CUHK, says, “We are deeply honored by this recognition of our university, faculty, student and alumni’s long-standing commitment to CSR.”

The CSR Committee is proud to see the Chinese University of Hong Kong achieve such a high ranking for CSR. Nitin Damodaran, the Vice President for the CUHK MBA CSR Conference Committee 2012 said, "This news has given us the extra motivation to make this year's CSR conference even better and help develop and generate new ideas about doing business responsibly." Our goal is that our CSR Conference 2012 and club speakers will continue to spark interest and bring knowledge to our fellow students on this important topic. Stay tuned for continuing updates on the Conference and other events that will help bring CSR into your career.

Updates

In less than 10 days, the 6th Annual CUHK MBA CSR Conference will take place. Due to unavoidable logistical issues, the committee has decided to replace this portion with more interactive activities. In the afternoon, we have extended the seminar discussion by Foxconn to everyone, and replaced the final round of the case competition with an interactive CSR session hosted by an ex-partner of the Boston Consulting Group. Although we are saddened to see the case competition being withdrawn, we assure you that the afternoon will be just as exciting and meaningful. We look forward to seeing every one of you next Thursday!
